Belwind - Northwind
The Belwind windfarm is located on the Bligh Bank, 46 km off the Belgian coast. Phase 1 of the project, in operation as of December 2010, consisted of the construction of 55 wind turbines, generating 3 MW each. The farm provides green energy for 160.000 Belgian households.
The Northwind wind farm is located on the Lodewijkbank, 37 km off the Belgian coast. Phase 1 of the project, in operation as of May 2014, consisted of the construction of 72 wind turbines, generating 3 MW each. The farm provides green energy for 250.000 Belgian households.
