Bulk

Sand and gravel are the most common bulk goods to enter Port Oostende. These raw materials are processed by concrete companies and the construction industry. In addition, wood and other goods are regularly brought in.

Project cargo

Anything large and heavy can enter Port Oostende. There are several terminals available for project cargo. The REBO heavy weight terminal has a load capacity of 20 t/m².

Lift-on lift-off

The REBO heavy weight terminal in Port Oostende is suitable for lift-on lift-off. Lift-on lift-off is the loading and unloading of a ship's cargo using a mobile harbor crane.

The sand and gravel entering the Port of Oostende is mainly intended for the construction sector in the region. Port Oostende does not focus on tonnages, but on added value. Other bulk goods that enter our port are: ores, gravel, chemicals, agricultural products and clay products.
In recent years the general cargo (project cargo) is mainly parts for the wind farms at sea: tower elements, blades, nacelles and high voltage substations that were handled at the REBO heavy weight terminal.
