MultiTech obtains EN1090 certificate

Technical Customization

MultiTech nv, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Port Oostende that specializes in technical customization, obtained the very prestigious welding certificate EN1090 execution class 2.

MultiTech is a one-stop-shop for offshore related activities in Port Oostende. She specializes in technical customization, such as metal constructions, welding, painting and spraying. In addition, MultiTech provides technical assistance to companies in and around Port Oostende in the field of safety, containers, transport, cranes, etc.

The EN1090 certificate is a standard intended for manufacturers of steel parts for load-bearing structures. When a company is EN1090 certified, it may issue a CE mark for its products. The CE marking means that the steel construction meets the requirements set for it.

It is therefore a quality commitment to the finished product.

MultiTech received more and more requests to manufacture this type of construction. She has been active in the offshore industry, shipping and local industry for some time and this now ensures that the needs of the construction industry are further met.

“MultiTech was already a specialist in industrial painting and other coating techniques. This certificate now gives us the means to further develop the branch of construction works qualitatively. The certificate also ensures that the various competencies of the company are in line. Construction and the final finish together ensure the very best.”
