Amandine
Renovation of the Amandine
The dry-docking of the Iceland trawler Amandine dates back to the year 2000. As the last of its kind, the Amandine was given a prominent place on the Vindictivelaan, near the Ostend train station.
The vessel was converted into a museum. After 22 years, however, the ship had fallen into disrepair and was in urgent need of restoration. In addition to grit blasting and painting, extensive repair and welding work was carried out. Part of the painting was done in the new spray booth at MultiTech.
