International top player finds home port in Oostende

Port Oostende further strengthens its position in the Flemish port landscape with the announcement that Jan De Nul, through its subsidiary and foundation expert Soetaert, will take a site of over 4 hectares on Plassendale I in concession. The concession agreement for this has now been signed. Jan De Nul, a global player in the maritime and offshore sector, already had an established presence in Port Oostende through Soetaert. With this important expansion Jan De Nul further anchors itself in the port.

Thanks to this targeted investment, Jan De Nul is further expanding its offshore activities in Port Oostende. The choice for Port Oostende underlines the importance of the location as a unique partner within the blue economy. Port Oostende thus confirms its position as logistical offshore wind hub of the southern part of the North Sea.

Moreover, the arrival of this top international player will contribute to strengthening the economic dynamics and employment in the region, especially in sectors closely linked to the offshore industry. Its expertise in offshore and dredging will give new impetus to the growth opportunities of the port and the region.
