Transeuropa Ferries increases frequency on Ramsgate with the introduction of the “Oleander”
On Thursday, 4th of July, the 6th ship of Transeuropa Ferries, the “Oleander, arrived to expand the ro-ro line Oostende-Ramsgate”. This ship has a loading capacity of 55 accompanied trailers. The “Oleander” was bought from P&O and was fully renovated in Duinkerke.
The line on Ramsgate especially concentrates on accompanied trailers that represent 90% of their traffic. With the arrival of the ‘Oleander’ Transeuropa Ferries now offers 11 crossings with 6 ships. This means that there is a departure almost every 2 hours from Oostende, which implies minimal waiting periods for the drivers.
Now that Transeuropa Ferries takes care of the bookings and the stowage of the ships themselves and with the opening of the new connection road Kennedy De Bolle, things are running smoothly with Transeuropa. An increasing traffic is noted month after month. In order to meet with this increasing demand Transeuropa decided to lay-in a sixth ship.
The special attention that is given to the drivers is an important element in the service policy of Transeuropa Ferries. The drivers especially appreciate the personal and well-cared-for service on board of the ships.
In total the port of Oostende offers 18 daily departures to the United Kingdom:

Oostende – Ramsgate Transeuropa Ferries 11 times a day freight
